The flu shot is the best way to protect yourself and your family from the flu. The Central YMCA is teaming up with the Health Department to offer Flu Shots.

Shot s are FREE with your insurance card. Otherwise, the cost is $25 (cash only please).

• Dress up in your favorite costume and enjoy trick-or-treating in a fun and safe environment.
• Leaders Club will be hosting Arts, Crafts, and Games!
• Decorate your car in a scary, silly, or funny way to help give our kids a fun night!
• There will be a contest for the best costume and the best decorated trunk!
• We are looking for volunteers to decorate trunks and bring candy to pass out!
Participants need to register as a Trunk or Trick or Treater!

Participants are encouraged to wear their pajamas and to bring any pillows or blankets to keep themselves comfy. Leaders Club will be serving fresh popcorn and fruit punch! Feel free to bring your own snacks! Children ages 7 and under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian during movie. Ages 8 & 9, parents must be in the building. Hope to see you there. Free to Members, $10 for guests.

To see if you are eligible for the 12-month program, go through the checklist on the Can I Participate? form. Based on effective efforts researched by the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the YMCA’s Diabetes Prevention Program will help you learn about and adopt the healthy eating and physical activity habits that have been proven to reduce the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. Through the program, you will receive support and encouragement from both a trained lifestyle coach and fellow classmates as you develop a plan for improving and maintaining your overall well-being. Classes are held at both the Central and Davis Family YMCAs.

The Y movement is for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. We want to encourage members to utilize the Y as often as they can. Sometimes, it’s more convenient for members to utilize a Y in a different location when traveling, near a workplace or in another region.
