While individual sports and activities help develop personal and physical skills, there is nothing like the interaction of team sports such as basketball, soccer and T-ball to develop cooperation, strategy and sportsmanship. YMCA sports leagues offer a low-pressure, high-participation opportunity to develop these skills. The “bench” is one position no one has to play at the Y.

What is Sudden Cardiac Arrest?
A Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) occurs when the heart suddenly and unexpectedly stops beating, cutting off blood flow to the brain and other vital organs. Sudden cardiac arrest is fatal if not treated immediately, most often by a defibrillator.

Youth Dodgeball League
Saturday, April 14 PREVIEW DAY
Sundays, April 15 – May 20 (Boys & Girls ages 7 to 12)
Boys and girls will play an action-packed game and learn the fundamentals of throwing, catching and dodging or have a chance to fine-tune their skills. The league promotes exercise through sport and social interaction.
Preview Day Saturday, April 14
Ages 7-9: 11 am to 12:30 pm
Ages 10-12: 1 to 2:30 pm
Games are Sundays: April 15, 22, 29, May 6 & 20. Games are 45 minutes in length.
Ages 7-9: 12:15 to 2:30 pm
Ages 10-12: 2:30 to 4 pm
Registration Deadline is Saturday, April 7.
Spring Tee Ball & Coach Pitch Baseball League
(Boys & Girls ages 3 to 7)
This Saturday league is held at Wick Recreation Area in Mill Creek Park. Please note June 2 we will be at Scholl Recreation Area, instead. The league consists of 3 practices and 5 games. We focus on the fundamentals of baseball while modifying the game to fit each age division. The League emphasizes healthy competition, promotes teamwork and individual development and focuses on life lessons learned through sports. Team play and good sportsmanship are stressed. All players receive equal time each game.
Practices are April 21, 28 & May 5. Games are May 12, 19, 26, June 2 & 9. Practices and games are one-hour in length and are held from 9:30 – 12:30 pm on Saturdays. The registration deadline is Saturday, April 14. A $10 Late Fee will be assessed after this date.

Spring Basketball League
This Saturday league consists of 3 practices and 6 games. We focus on the fundamentals of basketball while modifying the game to fit each age division. The League emphasizes healthy competition, promotes teamwork and individual development and focuses on life lessons learned through sports. Team play and good sportsmanship are stressed. All players receive equal time each game.
Practices are May 5, 12 & 19. Games are May 26, June 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30. Game #6 on June 30 will be a playoff format for the 8-10, 10-12 and 13-15 age groups. The registration deadline to avoid the $10 LATE FEE is Saturday, April 28. Practices and games are scheduled between 9 am and 6 pm for 1 hour in length.
All players receive a game shirt and basketball medal.

Adult Golf League
This Tuesday league is held at the Mill Creek Golf Course. Entry Fee is $175 per team plus $15 per player. If a player is a YMCA member, the $15 fee is waived.
