Come join the YMCA team as a Lifeguard! The Central YMCA in downtown Youngstown has openings for lifeguards. A YMCA lifeguard monitors pool activities and ensures member safety. Lifeguards need to possess knowledge of rescue procedures and emergency medical procedures. To help prevent incidents, lifeguards must enforce all safety guidelines as outlined by the YMCA. To ensure safety, lifeguards must remain alert throughout an entire shift. To gain a YMCA lifeguard job, applicant must hold Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR certifications. All YMCA lifeguards receive a free YMCA membership, schedule flexibility and free uniforms.

These positions supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. - Lifeguard applicants must be at least 16 years old and have current Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certifications.
